What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a finishing process in which a dry powder is applied to a surface using electrostatic charge, compressed air, or a fluidized bed. Once applied, the coated item is heated in an oven until the powder melts and forms a uniform, smooth film. As it cools, it hardens into a tough, durable finish that resists scratches, cracking, peeling, UV damage, and corrosion.
